Fuckery that really needs attention

So Lucius Svartwulf Helson and Halstead have had their own war going on between the two. I’ve enjoyed the posts by Lucius but like I said before I usually try to stay out of the drama (as much as I actually like Lucius).

But in a comment on this post, Halstead has changed my decision to stay out of it.

In a comment he called Lucius’s Gods “sad little gods”. Keep in mind (if you didn’t figure out from this name) Lucius is a Heathen. I can tolerate attacking a person (to an extent) but start insulting my Gods, and it won’t go well for you.

Here is links to all the posts Lucius made:

If Your Paganism is Anthropocentric, I Don’t Want Your Paganism

Maybe I’m Not Here to Save Your World

Everyone Wants to Save The World Part 1

Everyone wants to save the World Part 2

Let’s Disenchant the World! Part 1

Let’s Disenchant the World! Part 2

Let’s Disenchant the World! Part 3

I Am A Special Snowflake….Apparently.

Everyone wants to save the world part 1

Everyone wants to save the world part 2

To Quote Nox: “I Warned You!” Part 1

To Quote Nox: “I Warned You!” Part 2

I am not by any means under any impression that I’m a “Big Name” but keep in mind this “Atheist Pagan”, I put it in quotes because it is on of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard, is insulting our Gods and I won’t stand by for it.

Please share this shit out of this. Share it and ask others to share. Spread it around as much as you can.

Normally I wouldn’t do something like this but he really brought it on himself.

To say I’m pissed is an understatement.

      1. If he’s trolling, he’s not easing himself into a position where things will be continued to be perceived as “jokes.” I see it bubbling in the exchanges he has with other people (notably polytheists), in his own articles, and other polytheists’ responses to articles by Halstead. He’s digging a deep, deep, deep hole, and whether this hole-digging is for fun or for duty, there’s going to be a time that he’s not going to be able to climb out. And then it’s not going to be a trolling anymore.

Sorry if I seem like I’m taking this too seriously. This really, really bothers me.

      2. As someone who got his start “trolling” people, and who has hung with a number of them, I’m pretty sure Halstead is not one. There’s a sort of humor there, a sense of laughter, as you prick and poke people. Halstead lacks that. You can tell by reading him that not only is he deeply invested in his position, he’s even pretty fanatical about it. Not to mention, he doesn’t even really do any of the trolling behaviors I’ve come to pick up over the years.

  1. Reblogged this on The Sinking Roots and commented:
You need to read this. I have had it up to HERE with Halstead. I’m done reading and just being angry. Please share this post. It’s not that Halstead hasn’t been doing this for as long as he has, but this is the last straw. I have my personal pantheon, but this is an insult that has hit me as deeply as if I were a Heathen.

Aw, hell no. (And everybody knows that when a Southerner says that exact phrase, you better watch out. And yes, I am a Southerner. Y’all.) I’ve been watching this Halstead schmuck for a while and keeping quiet. I’ve been reading Lucius’ posts, too. Normally, I’m a laid back little witch, happy to see others follow whatever path they’re on. But this is too much. I know the Gods are more than capable of handling this Themselves, but Halstead just insulted my Loved Ones, my Family, and I don’t take kindly to that. In fact, if I weren’t the kind of witch I am, he might find himself in the crosshairs of a curse. But just because I don’t curse folks doesn’t mean that ALL witches don’t curse folks. And a lot of witches are polytheists. Something Halstead should have kept in mind. I also have a pretty strong feeling that the Gods are going to give a demonstration of just how “sad” and “little” They are to Halstead. So, I’mma pop some popcorn, crack open a beer, and watch the Gods’ fireworks show. Anyone care to join me?

  3. Thanks for liking my Comment on Lucius’ blog ;-), Silver. Halstead and I got into it, I believe a year or two ago. He is still the same: trying to pass himself off as a so-called “Pagan” expert (columnist at HuffPo; attendee and presenter at the Congress of World Religions. etc.). His mind has steel clad protection around it so that he cannot ever learn anything new. Anyway, I do believe that we should try to take away his platform as a “Pagan,” Let him be the Atheist-Naturist that he is.

      1. Sorry, but I don’t go for married people, I’d hate to be a homewrecker, and I’m just not ready for kids yet. Maybe if you were single, Johnny. Though I suspect your wife is jealous of all the time you spend on me. Still it is Flattering, actually, how you’re always trying to catch my attention. Maybe in another time, another life, you could have been my girlfriend. Ah well.

  4. I don’t think Halstead was insulting our gods at all. I think he was saying that this persons PERCEPTIONS of the gods is small minded and petty. I say this as a Heathen, I don’t feel insulted by this at all.

He wasn’t saying my gods were small and sad, he was saying that this guys worldview and comprehension were limited and restrictive. I’ve worked with Halstead before. He’s a nice guy who doesn’t have ANY issues working with Heathens like myself.

    1. I’m sorry but I have a bit of a hard time believing this based off of his actions and attitude in this whole situation.

He did specifically say “sad little gods” and really I’m going to go off of what I see.
